Squirt B – 2nd at State
A great weekend concludes a successful season for the Wildcat Squirt B team. The quest for the title began Saturday with a dominating performance in a 4-0 shutout win over DC Everest. The semi-final game was against a tough opponent, New Richmond. This was a back- and- forth exciting contest until the third period when the Wildcats pulled away for a commanding 7-3 victory. The State Championship game featured the Wildcats vs. Shaw and was an exhausting, non-stop affair that brought all of the fans to their feet. Though it resulted in 2-1 double overtime loss, it was a true team effort. The Wildcats finished 2nd in the State Tournament. Congratulations to the players, coaches and fans of Wildcat nation!

Squirt C – 7th at State
The Squirt C team finished their State Tournament weekend in the Fox Valley with a solid win over Chippewa Falls to finish 7th overall. The Wildcats started off with some tough losses to Shaw and Janesville, but battled back to win their final game 5 to 1. Congrats to the Squirt C team! Go WildCats!!

Good luck to the Mite A team in Stoughton, Mite B team traveling to Shaw, and the PeeWee B team headed for DePere this weekend as they continue to represent the WildCats in the State Tournaments!

Texas Hold 'Em Fundraiser

    Board Elections for 2010/2011
    The follow positions are open for the Wildcat Youth Hockey Board: Preseident Elect, Treasurer, Mite ALD, PeeWee ALD, Head Coach Elect. Contact your ALD or Jim Sarnosky at sarnosky@tds.net or 608-850-6671 by March 15th if you are interested in running.

    2010-11 Online Registration
    Online registration for the WYHA 2010-11 season will open April 1. With the exception of the Learn to Play Program, all skaters must first register with USA Hockey at http://www.usahockeyregistration.com. Once you have received your USA Hockey confirmation number, you may then complete the WYHA online registration.

    DeForest 4th of July Parade

    Village board pledges $1 million toward ice rink
    The village board voted to borrow $1 million to fund site work and provide a $500,000 no-interest loan to the Waunakee DeForest Ice Rink board at their meeting Monday.
